Creating and Encouraging Since 2009

My name is Jacob Weaver. I’ve been tattooing for over 14 years. Always looking to grow with and encourage those around me.

I’m a formally trained and educated artist with a range in conservation, restoration, fine art, symbolism, story-telling and tattooing. I’ve worked on all types of art collections and I’ve found my passion long ago is with living art. Helping people feel confident and encouraged one piece at a time.

I work to understand my clients concepts and render what they imagine with care and attention. I take great pride in my process that makes an impact and lasts.

Before getting your tattoo:

-be sure to drink plenty of water and hydrate the day before your tattoo.

-eat at least 3 hours before your appointment

-bring anything to make yourself comfortable for your appointment

After getting your tattoo:

If  You Have A Temporary Bandage:

-wash your hands

-you’ll keep your bandage on for up to 3 hours after your tattoo

-after 3 hours, take off your bandage and wash it with antibacterial soap and hot water you can comfortably stand.

-wash the tattoo for up to 5 minutes, it will be clean when no more blood, ink or plasma come out of your tattoo

-pat dry with a clean paper towel after you wash the area. Let the tattoo air dry for 10-15 minutes

-when the tattoo is dry to the touch, apply a thin layer of your non scented lotion to your tattoo. Remember less is more. Better to moisturize throughout the day.

-complete washing and moisturizing the tattoo minimum of twice a day for two weeks

-after day three, your tattoo will start to dry out. Repeat cleaning and moisturizing process. It will also become itchy. Don’t pick or scratch at your tattoo, this cause scabbing and could lead to a loss in pigment.

-day 5-7, your tattoo may start to flake up around the edges. You will notice that some of the dead skin cells starting to shed. Continue regimen and you will notice the tattoo will shed on its own.

-after the first week, your skin is starting tattoo to heal over your tattoo. Your tattoo will look shiny like a keloid. This is the final step of your tattoo healing.

-at this point, your tattoo is on the final track to healing. Sometimes it can take 1-2 weeks for your tattoo to be fully healed and resting in between the layers of your skin

Second Skin After-Care

(I only recommend this aftercare for persons without dermal-sensitivity issues)

-your tattoo artist will clean your tattoo and then apply the bandage and give you a second bandage to take home

-leave on your first bandage for no more than 24 hours

-the morning after your appointment, you may notice a mixture of blood, ink and plasma built up under bandage. Remove bandage in a hot shower and wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap.

-after your tattoo isn’t secreting any more fluids, pat dry your tattoo with a clean paper towel and let air dry for 10-15 mins

-apply second bandage and leave on for up to 6 days and remove in shower on final day

-if you notice any redness around the boundaries of the bandage, take off and wash your tattoo as soon as possible.
